With support from the United Nations Development Program, the Institute For Research and Democratic Development (IREDD), has embarked on a massive awareness drive for the full implementation of the Revenue Sharing Act seeking to empower local communities.
In 2022, the legislature passed the Revenue Sharing Bill, allowing sub-national structures to collect and retain portions of revenues generated at county level, a key milestone for Liberia’s path to sustained development.
