At long last, Liberian health workers call off their ongoing strike following intervention of the United Nations.
For the past three weeks, the health workers have been on strike, demanding COVID-19 hazard pay, improved working conditions, as well as increase in their salary among others.
However, according to the secretary General of the National Health Workers Union of Liberia Deemi Dearzrua, the decision came following the intervention of the UN resident Coordinator to Liberia—Kingsley Opuku Amaning.
