The family of the late former Liberian President William R. Tolbert, who was assassinated in a Military coup on April 12, 1980, along with many others, have urged Liberians to avoid repeating the violent past.
The call came from the family members of President Tolbert and the victims who lost their lives during the April 12 coup. They expressed their concern and appealed to the citizens to maintain peace and harmony in the country.
As Darlington Porkpa in Monrovia reports the military coup was led by former President Samuel Doe, and several people lost their lives as a result of the gruesome incident.
