After undergoing close examination for almost four years, the Liberian Legislature has reached a consensus to enact the Controlled Drug and Substances Act of 2014 into law.
This move effectively renders drug-related offenses non-billable.
The legislation had been awaiting approval in committee rooms for an extended period, during which the country experienced a significant influx of illegal drugs from both local and international traffickers, posing a serious threat to Liberia’s future.
