We covered the joint patrols and simulated ambushes carried out by the armed forces of Tunisia and Morocco during the Flintlock23 exercise in Daboya, the capital of the North Gonja district in the Savannah region of the country.

The Flintlock 2023 exercise according to The United States Special Operations Command in Africa will take place in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire from March 1-15, 2023, and will involve around 1,300 military personnel from 30 countries.

Gad Peter Shamaki, a governance and security expert, discussed with WADR, the potential risks and challenges associated with counter-terrorism operations and how to safeguard civilians and uphold human rights during such exercises.
