Members of Parliament from the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI) have called on Ivorian influential banker, Tidiane Thiam to stand as a candidate for the party’s presidency.
Following the death of its historic leader, former president Henri Konan Bédié, the PDCI will hold its next extraordinary congress in December.
Although undisclosed, speculations are that whoever emerges as president of the party, may probably be PDCI’s candidate in the 2025 presidential election.
