The Government of The Gambia has denied allegations of former President Yahya Jammeh visiting the Gambia to pay homage to his late mother with a private security protection.

Media reports in Guinea claimed the former Gambian leader planned to visit the country after being granted permission by the Gambia Government in a deal struck by Guinean President Alpha Conde.

But the Gambia government denied these claims saying they are false.
