The latest survey has found that high food inflation has led to Ghanaians reducing their appetite and purchasing some essential Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) like home and house care, milk, toilet soap, and toothpaste.

According to the survey by Maverick Research, consumers of these essential products have had to limit consumption due to the soaring inflation in the country and general economic hardship.

Since 2021 in Ghana, inflation often referred to as the silent enemy of purchasing power, has been steadily eroding the value of the Ghanaian currency and impacting the cost of goods and services across the country.
