The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has confirmed the successful validation of the initial phase of their assistance program for Côte d’Ivoire.
This milestone paves the way for the disbursement of a substantial sum, totaling 500 million dollars, to the country.
The program, endorsed by the IMF at the close of May, spans a duration of 40 months and encompasses a grand total of 3.5 billion dollars equivalent to 2.6 billion Special Drawing Rights, which is the IMF’s unit of account comprising a basket of major global currencies.
