Guinea’s transitional president General Mamady Doumbouya has revealed a new government structure for the remaining transition period.

However, in a decree signed on Tuesday, the new operational layout is not any different from the previously dissolved government led by former Prime Minister Bernard Goumou.

The decree informed that the newly appointed Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah’s team would include a total of 27 ministerial portfolios, with two general secretaries.

The general secretariats established within the government are the Government Secretariat and that of Religious Affairs.

Recall that, the dissolution of the previous government, led by Bernard Goumou, followed an internal crisis between the Prime Minister and his Minister of Justice, Alphonse Charles Wright.

Disagreements between the two government officials erupted when the justice minister called for prosecutions against certain state agents.
