Mohamed Touré, the son of Guinea’s first president, Sékou Touré, has returned to Guinea after serving seven years in a U.S. prison. He and his wife, Denise Cros-Touré, were convicted in 2019 for allegedly enslaving a young Guinean woman for 16 years.

The Guinean government welcomed his return, confirming that it followed months of negotiations with the United States.
