More than a month after the N’zérékoré stadium stampede, which claimed at least 56 lives officially and 135 according to local NGOs victims and their families are still seeking justice.
The Collective of NGOs in N’zérékoré has criticized the lack of transparency in the government’s judicial response, calling for accountability. These organizations, alongside victims, plan to file a complaint against the tournament organizers, some of whom are prominent figures.
Spokesman Fassou Emmanuel Sagno stressed the need for justice to honor the victims and prevent future tragedies.
