The home of Guinea’s opposition leader and main challenger of incumbent Alpha Conde has been laid under siege by the security forces.
It came a day after Celou Dalein Diallo declared himself winner of Sunday’s presidential election.
The ruling party dismissed his declaration while the electoral commission said it was the only legitimate national institution constitutionally mandated to announce elections results.
Barry Thierno is a spokesman for Mr. Diallo’s Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea.
