The president of Guinea's transition, Colonel Mamadu Doumbouya, has called on the Guinean people to be patriotic and look beyond ethnic and political divisions for the rebuilding of the country.
Doubouya was speaking on Saturday evening in a speech addressed to the nation on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Guinea, on October 2, 1958.
