A new government is in place in Guinea Bissau, following the appointment of the New Prime Minister – Rui Duarte Barros.
Barros replaces Geraldo Martins who was dismissed by President Umaro Sissoco Embalo without any stated official reason but there are speculations that the former PM is accused of corruption
While Barros picks up from where his predecessor left off, the United Nations is urging the ruling and opposition camps to reconcile their differences amicably.
Stephan Dujjaric is spokesperson for the UN secretary general.
