The Gambia’s government through the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment says the country has more cement than the demand
The ministry made the official statement amid reports of cement scarcity adding that three cement factories in the country have more than enough to supply the country
It also indicated that the wholesale prices of cement by the local factories have not changed since the introduction of the new tax increment on cement.

WADR caught up with Momodou Hydara, the General Manager of Jah Multi Industries, a cement factory in the Gambia, on the availability of cement and its production capacity.
