Global Shield has held its First In-Country Workshop in The Gambia.

This comes after the Gambian government requested financial assistance from the disaster risk management organisation.

With funding support from Germany, France, the UK, and other G7 countries, the Global Shield is working to close the financial protection gap in climate-vulnerable developing countries through tailored support packages.
