Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo says Ghana’s decision to go to the International Monetary Fund is paying off.
According to the President, the circumstances that force the country to seek help from the program are gradually improving.
He added that Ghana will not deviate from the terms of the program. The IMF boss is in the company of Mission Chief for Ghana, Stephane Roudet, Director of the Africa Department, Abebe Selassie and other staff from the Fund
The Managing Director of the (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva is on an official visit to Ghana and has met with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other key figures including The vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam and Bank of Ghana Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison on the way forward for Ghana’s three-year US$ 3 billion extended credit facility with the Fund.
