Ghana’s largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is demanding the release of the Provisional Voter Register for the December 7 general elections.
According to the NDC’s Director of Elections, Dr. Omane Boamah, the delay in providing the register shows a lackluster nature with which the EC is approaching the exercise and could result in a sub-standard register which will undermine the electoral process.
But, the Electoral Commission says it’s nothing untoward, assuring that the register will be provided to the political parties by Friday, the 16th of August.
