Ghana inflation in Mid January 2023, slowed slightly to 53.6% year-on-year from a more than two-decade high of 54.1% in the previous month, according to the Statistical Services.

This is the first time since May 2021, that Ghana’s inflation slowed in a month.

The drop comes amid a struggling economy in decades, a crushing debt-service burden and rapid currency depreciation.

Tofik AbdulNasir completes the story.
