The Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), is advocating for an amendment to the country laws to establish a shorter timeline for judging parliamentary election-related disputes at the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Currently, there are no time limits for parliamentary petitions, which the Civil Society Organization argues do not serve the interests of the parties involved or the nation as a whole.

In contrast, the Presidential Election petition is required to be heard within 42 days, highlighting the need for a more expeditious resolution of parliamentary election disputes.
