Ghana’s Auditor-General says eighty million dollars worth of vaccines paid for by the government has not been delivered.
According to the Auditor General, the government paid over 120 million dollars to the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF and African Vaccine Acquisition Trust but only 38 million dollars worth of vaccines were delivered.
The Auditor-General has therefore recommended to the Chief Director of the Health Ministry to renegotiate and recover the outstanding balance.
Atiewin Mbillah Lawson has the details.
