Findings from the Central Bank of Ghana revealed that banks and other financial institutions recorded a total loss value of 5 million U.S. dollars attributable to fraud for the year ending 2022.
The report by the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of Ghana highlighted forgery and manipulation of documents, fraudulent withdrawals, cheque fraud, email, and cash theft also known as cash suppression as the top five fraud activities.
