Ghana’s Ashanti region was hit by a tragic disaster Wednesday evening when fire gutted portions of the new Kejetia Market in Kumasi.
The fire started from the third floor of the market and quickly spread to other parts.
The cause of the fire outbreak that destroyed goods worth millions of Cedi has not been established yet.
As WADR’s Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson reports, officials from the Ghana National Service (GNFS) were stationed at the scene for hours, trying their best to extinguish the fire.
