GHANA: Tertiary Education Workers Union strike leaves students stranded

Several students at public universities in Ghana found themselves stranded on Thursday as the Tertiary Education Workers Union TEWU began an indefinite strike.

 

The industrial action by the labour union, which is now in its second day is to protest what it perceives as the employer’s reluctance to address their welfare needs.
