As Ghana’s parliament resumes Tuesday, tensions are rising as both the NPP and NDC insist they hold the majority.
The confusion began on October 17, when Speaker Alban Bagbin declared four parliamentary seats vacant, causing the NDC to claim a majority with 136 seats to the NPP’s 135.
However, the Supreme Court halted this decision the following day, restoring the previous balance. Despite this, both sides still claim majority status.
