Ghanaian President Akufo-Addo discusses efforts to combat terrorism during a meeting with US Vice President Kamala Harris at the Jubilee House on Monday.
When asked about the presence of Al-Qaeda militants in Ghana, the President stated that he had no information on the matter. During the media engagement, Vice President Harris announced that the United States government is allocating $100 million to five West African countries, including Ghana, to support their counter-terrorism efforts.
