Ghana’s President NanaAkufo-Addo has accepted the resignation of Martin Amidu as Special Prosecutor.
A letter issued Tuesday afternoon and signed by the Chief of Staff, AkosuaFremaOsei-Opare, stated that the President had taken due note of the other matters raised in the resignation letter and government would issue a statement responding to them in due course.
Recall that on Monday, the country’s first special prosecutor indicated that the President had interfered in his work, adding that he had not been paid for his close to 3 year work and would be resigning with immediate effect.
