Ghana: petroleum tanker drivers call off nationwide strike

Ghana’s National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union has suspended its sit-down strike following a crunch meeting with the Ministry of Roads and Highways.

The strike which started on Monday, resulted in fuel and LPG shortages at some pumps across the country. The drivers union was demanding that the roads in the petroleum enclaves in parts of the country ease their operations.
