The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has recently put into effect a series of new and revised taxes, which were introduced in the 2023 Budget and became effective from May 1st.
These taxes are expected to have a considerable impact on the prices of certain goods in the market, including fruit juice and mineral water.
Despite the concerns raised by the Ghana Union of Traders Association regarding the difficulty for its members to absorb these taxes, they have announced that they will not hesitate to pass on the cost to consumers.
