The latest figures from the Ghana Statistical Service show that year-on-year inflation fell for the fourth consecutive month to 41.2% in April 2023, from 45% in March 2023.
This is part of a continued disinflation process since January 2023, as both food inflation and non-food inflation decreased last month.
Financial analysts and economists have welcomed this development as a positive step.
However, the Bank of Ghana is calling on banks to reduce charges to correspond with the decline in inflation.
