The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) will from today, Tuesday deduct a 10% withholding tax on all betting, games, and lottery wins.
This comes after the government amended the Tax Act, which also withholds 20% as tax from the Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR), which is the amount generated from all stakes less the winnings.
The Income Tax Act, of 2023 includes the introduction of new excise duties on beverages and has attracted mixed reactions.
