The 46th Ordinary Meeting of ECOWAS Mediation and Security Ministerial Council will be held in Accra today.
The meeting expected to bring together representatives from the community, with the exception of Mali which has been suspended, is the second in a series of meetings this month and will culminate with then59th Ordinary Summit of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government on Saturday.
Outlining the attendance and matters up for discussion, Ghana’s foreign affairs minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway noted that today’s mediation and security meeting will be followed by the and 86th Ordinary Meeting of ECOWAS Council of Ministers on June 16 and 17.
