Ghana’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, is set to present the Business Statement and Economic Policy of the government for the year ending December 31, 2025, to Parliament later today.
The presentation is in line with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
This will also be the first budget statement of the President John Mahama administration since he came into office in January.
Key among the expectations in this budget are the scrapping of some nuisance taxes, including the E-Levy, COVID-19 Levy, and the Betting Tax, among others.
