In Ghana, an Energy analyst Kwame Jantuah has criticized the government’s posturing to the country’s worsening power crisis.
It follows the latest response by the Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh denying the problem’s existence and claiming that the outages were due to maintenance works and contrary to the proven evidence of a shortfall in gas supply.
The sector minister’s pronouncement came days after the president said the crisis had been resolved.
Speaking to the WADR’s Naa Dedei Tettey, Kwame Jantuah said the excessive politicization of the crisis is needless. He has tasked the government to tackle the problem and stop beating about the bush.
