Javier Nart, the Chief Observer of the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) to Ghana, will this week travel to the Western regional Capital, Takoradi, Central regional capital, Cape Coast and Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, to follow the final preparations for the 7 December elections in Ghana.
Nart said he is expecting to get views of stakeholders in that region on the level of preparation. He will through these travels meet and interact key stakeholders, election officials, candidates of the political parties, police, civil society groups, traditional leaders and the media.
The EU EOM estimates to present its preliminary findings after the polls on December 7th at a press conference on 9 December, two days after Election Day.
It says a more comprehensive final report will be published later, including recommendations for future elections in the country.
