The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Secretariat, says its Secretary-General, Wamkele Mene, was issued with a false-positive COVID-19 test result at the Kotoka International Airport.

This development comes days after Frontier Healthcare Services, the managers of Ghana’s COVID-19 testing programme at the airport drew attention to the high number of persons who tested positive at the airport, despite attaining negative results from the countries they travelled from.

Meanwhile, concerns have been raised about the delay in the receipt of the second dose of Astra Zaneca vaccine due to the surge in COVID cases in India.

Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson reports from Accra.
