Gambian President Adama Barrow’s ruling National People’s Party NPP suffered a major setback in the national assembly elections held on Saturday.
The Gambian leader’s party lost more than 10 constituencies in the assembly elections which he won during the presidential election.
Barrow’s ruling NPP secured 19 seats while the opposition United Democratic Party UDP won 15 seats.
