Gambian President Adama Barrow has instructed the Petroleum and Finance Ministries to alternatively replenish the current low domestic stock of fuel through overland importation from neighboring            

According to the presidency, this order follows the expected late arrival of the ship scheduled to deliver petrol by the 3rd of March 2023 due to bad extreme weather conditions at sea.

In a statement, the government through the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs granted concessions to licensed importers to swiftly source petrol from Senegal.

Jah Oil Company has secured 1.5 million liters of petrol to be delivered within 24 hours.
