In The Gambia, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dawda A. Jallow has justified President Barrow’s decision to pardon capital offenders, including a murderer and rapists, citing constitutional provisions.
The justice minister asserted that victims of these offenders were consulted, and the prerogative of the mercy committee advised the Gambian leader.
