The Gambia Immigration Department has denied claims of preferential treatment among ECOWAS citizens residing in the Gambia after claims that they pay unequal amounts of money to acquire residential permits in the country.

The department said all ECOWAS citizens in the Gambia pay the same amount of money except three counties.
