Proponents and opponents of female genital mutilation (FGM) gathered at the premises of the National Assembly of The Gambia to vocalize their divergent views.

This demonstration followed the presentation of the Women’s Amendment Bill on Monday, which aims to abolish the existing anti-FGM law.
