Gambian President Adama Barrow says African countries should emulate his country’s democracy after conducting another peaceful election.

This comes after The Gambia held the mayoral and chairmanship elections over the weekend, marking the third national election since December 2021.

Despite losing heavily in the capital Banjul and its surroundings, Barrow described the elections as transparent while calling for unity.
