The Gambia’s National Human Rights Commission hosted its inaugural National Stakeholders Dialogue on Mental Health Rights on Tuesday.

The dialogue focused on raising awareness of the impact of mental health disorders and the human rights violations faced by individuals living with these conditions.

The commission emphasized the urgent need for inclusive policies and legal frameworks to protect the rights of people with mental health challenges and improve access to care.
