A two-day summit between France and its African allies on countering terrorism in Africa’s Sahel will conclude in the Chadian capital Ndjamena today.
The meeting convened on Monday to discuss the insurgency and a possible withdrawal of French forces in the region.
Ahead of the meeting, the South Africa-based Institute for Security Studies published an article suggesting a new approach to dealing with the insurgency in the region.
One of the authors of the report, Remadji Hoinathy, Senior Researcher, Lake Chad Basin Programme, ISS Dakar, spoke to WADR.
