The G5 Sahel has launched an international appeal to raise sufficient funds to counter terrorism.
During the just ended 7th Ordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State, in N'Djamena, Chad, the five member states requested a substantial support from the international community.
Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Chad also urged the United Nations Security Council to place the Joint Force under Chapter VII (7) of the Charter of the United Nations (UN).
