The French Minister of the Armed Forces continues to dispute the conclusions of the MINUSMA report on the Bounti airstrike last January.

Florence Parly insists that the French force Barkhane did not kill civilians, saying the air strike only neutralized terrorists.

The French minister – Parly, who ended a two-day visit to Bamako on Thursday spoke on the ongoing controversy after the publication of the Minusma report.

The document claimed that the French military in the reported air strike, killed about twenty civilians who were attending a wedding in Bounti – central Mali region.
