Dissatisfied with his exclusion from the electoral list, former Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo appeals to the electoral umpire.
Gbagbo visited the Independent Electoral Commission on Thursday in Abidjan to be registered and able to vote in the local elections scheduled for September 2, 2023.
The former head of state’s removal from the electoral list follows his sentence to 20 years in prison for the robbery of the Central Bank oF West African States BCEAO.
