The war crimes trial of a former Liberian commander resumed Monday before the Federal Criminal Court.

A first witness was questioned before the Court of Criminal Affairs, arousing the anger of the accused at the end of the hearing.

The man brought a complaint against Alieu Kosiah for the murder of his brother and the ill-treatment suffered during forced transport.

At the end of the hearing, the defendant lost his temper, recalling that he had been detained for 6 years.

The complainant then asked to be moved into the room, away from the accused. He said he was scared by that voice, the same one that shouted orders 25 years ago.

Liberian journalist Anthony Stevens is covering the trial in the Swiss city of Bellinzona from where he spoke to my colleague Adolphus Mawolo.
