In this feature report, we take you to the village of Kawu, in Niger state, one of the ancient settlements in the north-central region of Nigeria, which is now surrounded by bandits and other terrorist groups using the environment as a hideout.
This historic village is close to the main forest where attackers reside and wage war on peaceful villagers.
Some travelers now consider Kawu village as a no-go zone for bandits as a result of the constant kidnapping of people from within the village, including the surrounding area.
WADR’s Augustine Kollie luckily arrived in Kawu and explains the details in this feature.
